Taking a moment to relax
Associates are members who are unable to meet regularly as members of a specific Group. Sometimes they have been in a group but then become housebound. Here is an opportunity for group members to visit them and to help them realise that they are still a valued member, that staying in touch is important and they are not forgotten. A perfect answer is for them to become an Associate
Events such as Study Days, Days of Recollection, Pilgrimages, Retreats as well as social occasions in every region, are for all members. Not only those who meet regularly in the groups but naturally for our Associate members and it is always a joy to welcome them to a special day.
For Associate members, receiving the Journal reinforces their sense of belonging to the Life Ascending. The Journal informs them of forthcoming events, which they can participate in, as well as giving accounts of happy occasions, poems and anecdotes.
All Associates form part of the powerhouse of prayer that is one of the hallmarks of the Movement.
The difficulties and sufferings of all frail or housebound members, when accompanied by their prayers, is of infinite value to the Mission of the Movement and we value all our members prayers.
