The welcome hospitality , the calm of the retreat house and lovely surroundings of the lawns and garden guarantee a very happy day.

Sr Margaret O’Shea of The Poor Servants of the Mother of God will be leading our day.  The theme of the day is ” We are an Easter People and Alleluia is our song”

The day will begin at 11.00am with coffee or tea and  Sr Margaret will speak for about 45 minutes before Mass. Then we will have Soup and a Roll and a hot drink

An up to date programme will appear nearer the day.

About the Kairos Retreat Centre

All who need to find a place of quiet, peace, harmony and hospitality are welcome. A place to pray, a place to think, a place to meet. It exists for the development of the individual and community, and is open to all.

The Kairos Centre is owned and administered by the Catholic Congregation and charity, The Poor Servants of the Mother of God.

The Congregation was founded in 1869 by Frances Taylor. Frances took the name Mother Magdalen and the first Sisters responded to the needs of the time, working with the most vulnerable, especially women and children, and recognising the dignity and worth of each person.

During the past century the work has changed and the Sisters have responded to new situations which have arisen but their work is still carried out in the same spirit and according to the same values espoused by the Foundress.
